School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV), was established on July 7, 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MoE), Government of India, as an autonomous institution. SPAV is a premier Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI) directly under the MoE, for excellence in the fields of Planning and Architecture. Although in its nascent stage, with experienced faculty and guest lectures by eminent visiting faculty and industry experts from all over the country, the quality of education imparted and its focus on research puts SPAV in the league of leading institutes in the country.

International Day of Yoga 2026 – Yoga for Healthy Ageing
The International Day of Yoga 2026 with the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” was successfully held at School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada on 21 June 2026. The Yoga Sangam session brought together students, faculty, and staff members to promote physical wellness, mental clarity, wisdom, and harmony through the practice of yoga.
Plantation Ceremony – World Environment Day 2026
The Plantation Ceremony celebrating World Environment Day 2026 was successfully held at SPA Vijayawada on 5th June 2026 under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” The event was organized in association with the Rose Society of Andhra Pradesh, promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and a greener future.
Clean Mobility Pathways for Cities of Andhra Pradesh
Training & Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on “Clean Mobility Pathways for Cities of Andhra Pradesh” under the Andhra Pradesh Sustainable Electric Mobility Policy 4.0 was successfully held on June 5th, 2026 at SPA Vijayawada. The workshop focused on promoting sustainable electric mobility, clean transportation solutions, and environmentally responsible urban development practices.
