Nagaraju Kaja is an Architect with specialization in Construction Management, having more than 16 years of multidisciplinary experience in the fields of architecture both in academics and Industry. As an architect he was involved with the design and execution of various architecture and Interior designing projects. He has acquired Bachelor of Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, JNTU, Hyderabad, Master of Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management) from University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad and presently perusing his Ph.D from SPA Vijayawada. He also holds a PG Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development (PGDESD) from IGNOU, New Delhi.
He is currently the superintendent of exams at SPAV and Chief Warden of SPAV hostels. He is also involved in various academic and administrative responsibilities in the School. He was a member in the committee prepared the syllabus of M. Arch and B. Arch courses. He is recipient of ICCU-UNESCO fellowship for a study program on conservation of wooden structures in Japan. He is the coordinator for Building Inclusive Communities (BInUCom), an Erasmus Plus project.
He has published research papers in various National and International journals and attended International Conferences. He is a life member in various organizations like IIA, ISLE, ISTE and IIID. He has a vast experience in designing and managing architectural and interior projects at various levels. His research interests include sustainable Architecture, Energy efficiency in buildings, Conservation and restoration of traditional structures and vernacular Architecture.
